Psalm 18:29-39 (33) – He makes my feet like the feet of deer, And sets me on my high places. (NKJV)
The deer is a swift and sure-footed animal that could climb rocky heights and never stumble. When climbing, the deer can place the back feet exactly where the front feet were, therefore needing only two sturdy footrests instead of four. This graceful animal can run through harsh terrains without fear. As we enter the year 2021 in a few hours, rest assured that like a deer, the Lord has empowered your feet. Every path you tread in the new decade shall lead you to superior ground and achievements. Against all odds and family barriers, you shall break good records, in Jesus’ name.
A deer can also escape predators, no wonder the Psalmist said: ‘For by You I can run against a troop, By my God I can leap over a wall’ (Psalm 18:29). Therefore, I decree! Henceforth, any conspiracy organised for your sake, shall backfire, in the name of Jesus. In 2021, you will not need to fight battles because the Lord has gone ahead and granted you victory (2 Chronicles 20:17). Finally, a footrest is a support for the feet, and a deer, being a unique animal, only need two footrests instead of four. Next year, the grace for ease is coming upon you. No more struggles!
Beloved, the above will only happen when our heart stays on the Lord (Isaiah 26:3). When our mind and actions please God, He is bound to promote and sustain us at the mountaintop. It is my prayer that we shall depend only on God throughout 2021 and our lifetime, in Jesus’ name.
