Matthew 6:25-34 (34) – Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (NIV)
Jesus affirmed in today’s Bible reading that we should never worry about the morrow; instead, we must channel our gaze to heaven, which has all the resources we need to succeed in destiny. If the birds and lilies in the fields get fed daily, how much more we, who are created in God’s likeness? No wonder, Matthew 10:29-31, says:
‘Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.’
Beloved, maybe all you see today are a hardship, unfavourable reports, sicknesses and looming crisis. Let no man or devil deceive you; God is never asleep! Just hold on to Him in faith and diligence; He is working everything out for your good because He hates that man should suffer (Isaiah 46:4-13). We saw an example in 2 Kings 6:25-7:1-20 when He transformed the great scarcity in Samaria, where people ate their children and couldn’t expect a better tomorrow. Therefore, I decree! Whatever represents a drought in your life, marriage, business and finance, ends now, in Jesus’ name.
