THE VOID IN THE SOUL

Romans 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, for you to abound in hope in the power of the Holy Spirit. (BLB)

There is a natural void that exists in every man, a vacuum which cannot be filled by money or strength. If it were so, the rich would have covered their persistent thirst while the strong will have no cause to faint. Initially, God created man not only to be fruitful but also to continually fellowship with Him (Genesis 3:8). However, after Adam and Eve’s disobedience got them naked and vulnerable, God clothed man with coats of skin. Yet, sin destroyed God’s original plan for humankind and man was assigned to labour and to die eventually! (vs 17-24)

Therefore, death—both spiritual and physical, became the penalty for sin (Genesis 2:16-17; Romans 6:23). Nevertheless, God, having realised this void and that man will only be subjected to the devil except He acts, then began a ‘restoration plan’, to sacrifice His son for humanity (John 3:16; 1 John 3:16). Meanwhile, the lamb from whose skin God made coats to cover Adam and Eve, prophetically represented Jesus! He who became the sacrificial lamb for man’s redemption, which John testified about in John 1:29.

Beloved, the root of the matter is that Satan strategises and uses sin, to separate man from God (Isaiah 59:1-2), which is the foundation of the ‘void in your soul’. But God wants a reunion with the lost one and generation. He gave Jesus to save us, and the Holy Spirit as affirmed in our text, to fill our emptiness, guilt, nakedness, and hopelessness. And ‘until we get back to the source (The Father), the thirst in our soul won’t get quenched’. Accept Christ Today—ACT now! (Revelation 3:20)
