THE RICH ALSO STEAL!

1 Corinthians 10:12-13 (12): So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! (NIV)

In the media was the shocking story of a suspended senior bank manager who earns over £1 Million annually (500 Million Naira). The news was that he got caught stealing sandwiches which are worth less than £2 each (1000 Naira), from the office canteen. Also, not long ago was a finance boss who earned millions of pounds sacked for taking a colleague’s bicycle part worth less than £5.

Beloved, aren’t these abnormal, or how on earth would a man stoop that low to thieve what he could afford a thousand times? That’s why we must gird our loins; for, the devil never sleeps nor slumbers (1 Peter 5:8)—he can tempt anyone, with the sole aim to disgrace the fellow. Oh! As our text affirms, He that thinks he stands should take heed except you can explain how the mighty David lusted after another man’s wife, eventually killing the man (Uriah—(2 Samuel 11)

What do you secretly or unconsciously do (Good or bad)? Gossipping, stealing, internet fraud, covetousness, envy, anger, pride, immorality, unforgiveness, and telling (white) lies, among others (Galatians 5:19-26). Eh! You will do a thorough check-up on your habits and life pattern (Psalm 139:23-24). Because what you fail to stop will end up breaking you. And I pray! Every seed of disgrace waiting to germinate in your life is rooted out, in Jesus’ name. Get Born Again!
