Psalms 20:7

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. (NIV)

Life sometimes could be daunting and challenging, and the more reason to make God our pillar. Because having Him as our backbone is far greater than the task ahead. Moreover, the difference between the victors and victims is allowing God as our all (Proverbs 18:10).

Do you want to be triumphant in life? If yes, then let God be your strength and shield, as David declared in our text (Psalms 28:7, 46:1) and fell Goliath (1 Samuel 17). Similarly, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego had the Lord as their main support, and they were not, put to shame (Daniel 3:1-30). Eh! When God is your cornerstone, He makes your stormy situations your stepping stones. How do I know? These men above were all promoted after their trials.

Beloved, what battles are you fighting? Is it sicknesses or demonic attacks? ‘Oh! My enemies have been mocking me; I need a miracle…’ Relax! The tide will soon turn to your favour, only if you put your trust in God to make Him your backbone, then He shall surely show up for you (Jeremiah 33:3). However, when God is your defence, you need to confront your mountains because it doesn’t matter how many are against you, you’ll always win! (Proverbs 24:16). Be Born Again!

Hymn: We Have an Anchor – Priscilla J. Owens (1882)
